Triple P Parenting Discussion Groups & Seminars

Each session brings together about 10-12 parents who are experiencing the same parenting challenge.  A trained Triple P facilitator will be part of each group. There are 4 topic sessions you may choose from below.  You may register for any session(s) you would like to attend.   All sessions are held on a Tuesday from 7 – 8:30 pm.

Getting Teenagers to Cooperate ~ Tuesday, October 5th

Discuss the common ways teenagers don’t cooperate, parent traps, encouraging cooperation, how to manage uncooperative behavior, and what to do if problems persist.

Coping with Teenagers’ Emotions ~ Tuesday, October 12th

Discuss the common situations when teenagers become highly emotional, how to help your teenager to manage their emotions better, how to cope with an emotional teenager, and what to do if problems persist.

Building Teenagers’ Survival Skills ~ Tuesday, October 19th

Discuss the common ways teenagers can be at risk, planning ahead to reduce risky behavior, identifying risky situations, risk reduction strategies, and consequences for not following the plan.

Reducing Family Conflict ~ Tuesday, November 2nd

Discuss common ways family conflict can occur, how to teach children and teenagers to get along with each other, how to reduce family conflict, and how to manage conflict.
